Based on findings from a survey and focus groups of educators, nurses, and employers, this report offers educational institutions evidenced-based recommendations to prepare RNs for the primary care of the future, with a particular focus on addressing the social determinants of health and caring for patients as part of interprofessional teams.

Nurses on Boards Coalition requests recommendations for nurse leaders to serve on two United Way boards.
As a result of NOBC’s newly established relationship with the United Way Worldwide Governance Leadership team, they expect to create many new opportunities for nurse leaders to serve on United Way boards across the country. In support of this goal, United Way is leading by example and offering NOBC the opportunity to submit candidates for their own boards, United Way Worldwide Board of Trustees and United Way USA Board of Trustees.
