Centralized Clinical Placement System

The Nursing Resource Center provides a one-stop online tool for clinical placements by bringing schools, hospitals and other clinical agencies together in one convenient online portal. The Resource Center has two components: the Centralized Clinical Placement System (CCPS) and the Centralized Faculty Resource Center (CFRC). These tools streamline the clinical placement process, as well as identifying and recruiting qualified faculty. They receive support from HealthImpact and the Foundation for California Community Colleges.

The Centralized Clinical Placement System allows schools to quickly match their students with open placements. Clinical agencies review and respond to requests in a standard format and are able to manage placement applications from all schools on a single schedule. CCPS makes it easier for schools to find clinical opportunities for their students and for clinical agencies to fill their openings. CCPS offers a customer support desk, individual training and orientation, an online user manual, and other user resources.

Several California regions are using the Nursing Resource Center, including the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Bakersfield, as well as Florida, Hawaii, Ohio, and Texas.

The Centralized Clinical Faculty Resource Center connects schools with open faculty positions to interested candidates. Other benefits include sharing of part-time faculty between nursing schools, and professional resources for current faculty.
